How much does a voiceover cost?

Every project is bespoke and depends on what you are using the voiceover for. If you are looking for a voiceover to record your voicemail messages, I charge £10 per prompt. If you are wanting to create a radio or TV advert or an explainer video for your website we will discuss this further as where the finished piece is to be used affects the cost.

So, where can I use it?

We will agree where the voiceover can be used when we work together as usage fees vary. We factor in whether the voiceover is being used internally or for social media, on your website, at a conference, or for broadcast. It’s the same concept as a license.

How do I receive my voiceover?

If you are happy to send me the script to record and send it back, you can expect to receive an mp3 file or .wav either via we send it or uploaded to dropbox. If you are adding this to your internal phone system I can come and record into it, onsite or send individual files.

How can I listen in?

I work using a range of software options including Clean Feed, Source Connect, ipDTL, Zoom and Skype. If you want to listen in to the session to direct it, there will be an additional fee.

How can I be sure of the quality?

Have a listen to my dry studio sample to hear what my studio sounds like.

What if I don’t like how you’ve recorded it?

Before I start the project with you we will of course have a conversation about what you are expecting, including the tone of the piece and if there are any references you’ve heard that you like. I always record a sample demo of a script to give you an idea of my take on it. All of my quotes include one round of pick ups, which means once you get the recording you can request a change if you aren’t happy with it.

What if I need to change the script?

No problem, but there will be an additional fee. Depending on the project, these start at £35.

Do you do a deal for a bulk job?

I’m always happy to discuss your budget and make sure we are working in the best way possible, so if there are multiple videos to record for example, we will discuss the usage and make sure we come up with an agreeable rate for all of us.

What’s the turnaround on a job?

I will always deliver within 12 hours of getting your brief, if not sooner and if you are in need of a super quick turnaround, I will do my best to work with you. Like any small business my time has to be managed efficiently, so hopefully you’ll give me a bit of warning.
