Being a Manchester based voiceover

I love it when I get to work with people locally and being a Manchester based voiceover means there is such an exciting digital hub to connect with.

Being able to work virtually with clients around the world is amazing, don’t get me wrong yet there’s something special about making a connection around the corner and seeing what you can do together.

In 2020 I joined Manchester’s Greater Connected scheme which was a great way to put a new focus on the development of my business as well as meeting other local creatives and discuss what opportunities there could be for us to collaborate.  One of those was Into Productions a Manchester-based production company, that like so many others has been adapting to enable work to continue during the pandemic.

Damian and I have now worked together on a few projects for the University of Manchester and I loved this one as I’m a keen recycler – even more so with us all being home so much of the time and it being so apparent how much waste we make! My boot has been full once the bins are full, with the tip being one of the few places we actually get to go out to.  Imagine if we had ‘One Bin to Rule them All’- it would ease the confusion wouldn’t it?

This project was part of the RE3: Rethinking Resources & Recycling project at the University of Manchester, develop a framework for eliminating consumer choice and confusion in plastic waste management, through exploring the development of a targeted sorting system that prioritises separation based on the creation of value in plastic waste. Would it make your life easier?
